Cold Forged Header Machine Manufacturers

A Cold-forged header machine, also called a cold heading machine or Bolt header machine, is a high-speed industrial machine used to manufacture bolts, screws, rivets, pins, and other fasteners from metal wire or rod.

How it works

Wire/Rod → Cutting → Heading/Forming → Multi-stage Forging → Finished Blank

  1. Wire feeding – Metal wire is continuously fed into the machine.
  2. Cutting – The wire is cut into precise lengths called blanks.
  3. Cold heading – Powerful punches force the blank into dies.
  4. Forming – The material is progressively shaped into the required bolt or fastener head.
  5. Output – The formed bolt blank is discharged for further operations such as thread rolling, trimming, or finishing.

Main advantages

  • High production speed
  • Excellent dimensional consistency
  • Stronger parts due to cold-working
  • Reduced material waste
  • Suitable for mass production
  • Produces uniform bolt and fastener heads
  • Can perform multiple forming operations in one machine

Common applications

Cold-forged header machines are widely used for manufacturing fasteners for:

Automotive • Tractors • Construction • Railway • Electrical equipment • Industrial machinery • General engineering

In simple terms, a cold-forged header machine converts metal wire into accurately formed bolt and fastener blanks without heating the metal.
